Some years ago I conceptualized ICO-inspired game of a boy and a giant elf who would solve puzzles in a huge castle.
It didn't go very far because imagining it in practice was a nightmare, but the art still holds up and you can see some traits carrying over to my other stuff.

Considering how much Dragon Quest VII Reimagined absorbed me these past couple days, I now feel kinda empty having finished it. Fully satisfied and happy but still empty.
Guess I'll be bouncing between various games over the next week again.^^"

Considering how much Dragon Quest VII Reimagined absorbed me these past couple days, I now feel kinda empty having finished it. Fully satisfied and happy but still empty.

To elaborate on a couple of things: Considering I never really actively engaged in level grinding, I still ended up outleveling a lot of monsters in the last third. Was practically playing an action RPG at that point.^^" Should I play DQVIIR again, I'll definitely play it on hard mode.
Finished Dragon Quest VII Reimagined! Wonderful albeit fairly easy RPG. Loved exploring the various pieces of the past and seeing the results of the party's actions in the present. And while I was unsure about the new look, it grew on me big time. Gorgeous game.^^ #AlanarsGames2026
