He knows his place. He doesn't feel like a president. He knows that they know he stole the seat. He knows they know he is a criminal. That feeling is enough to make him alienate himself.

Better to own two landed properties within the same territory and hustle to maintain them, than demolishing one just to concentrate on the other.
