Love structural engineering and coding.
The first «Engineering with Julia» minisymposium was a great success! 🎉

Huge thanks to all the speakers and organizers who made it possible.

We’re excited to keep pushing the boundaries and bringing more Julia into the engineering world!

“Look mom, I’m on TV!”
My shoutout to @crismoen.bsky.social and Zhidong Zhang’s session on the use of AI (SciML, really) made it online, ha-ha!

I’m pretty sure that LEGOs are responsible for motivating multiple generations of people to become engineers.

I'm proud to be a part of this important research that underscores the urgent need to better understand and mitigate the risks of ship collisions with critical bridges in the United States.
Ship strikes SHOULD be extremely rare—standards stipulate that annual chances of a bridge collapse from ship collision SHOULD be less than 1 in 10,000. But some of the nation’s busiest will likely be hit in our lifetime, reports Prof Michael Shields. engineering.jhu.edu/news/major-u...

Happy Nauryz, everyone!
Nauryz marks the beginning of the New Year across the Great Steppes of Central Asia and many other cultures.
Here’s a beautiful special from my favorite music project, OYU, featuring performances by Central Asian artists of all genres, blending tradition and modernity.

I recently found out that I can pass strings as seeds to Julia's RNG. Now instead of a boring `Random.seed!(123)`, I put cheesy motivational phrases:
`Random.seed!("Success is never final; failure is never fatal.")`
`Random.seed!("Motivation will almost always beat mere talent.")`
