my emperor scorpion ripley typically stays in her log tunnel, but i found her like this last night waiting for her dinner 😭 upon receiving 2 large mealworms, she quickly vanished back into her hide

It's sad to see inverts & fungi bearing the brunt of these shortfalls - the backbone of this planet's natural pest control & vital decomposers. The 'uncharismatic' fauna are important too :(
The taxonomic biases in biodiversity data are growing over time. The amount of data we are collecting is growing, but the biases get bigger. We need to make a conscious effort to study the understudied!
