But "Tinderalla" somehow escaped my attention---and I'm guessing yours too. The chill indie pop song is a collaboration with Michael's sister, Jenna Desmond of the duo Babe Club. It feels like Elderbrook's intimate cover stokes the fire in the lyrics. "I've been doing these Hotel Room Sessions for years now. Whenever I'm traveling for shows, I end up with so much extra time in hotel rooms, so I thought I'd find something productive to do.

With a sound that imbues the intensity of classic hard rock, KuF continue to gain loads of fans with every new release. The band's most recent single is "Quicksand Serenade". I find "Quicksand Serenade" as magnetizing as it is haunting. The song has a visceral feel to it, thanks to the blend of impassionate lyrics with expressive instrumentation. Bobby Amaru (the American singer, songwriter, producer and the lead vocalist of the hard rock band Saliva) and his daughter Veda are proving to be quite the dynamic duo. Both Bobby and Veda are signed to Judge and Jury Records--Veda only made her debut mid last year when she released "Wannabe Me" and the teenage singer has since followed the song with a couple more.

With "Shame", Bad Flamingo deliver arguably their most rhythmic tune yet, which sounds like a ridiculous assertion to make, considering the song's dark tone. Still, the textured production and storytelling lyrics make this the quintessential Bad Flamingo song. Written about being in a toxic relationship, "Shame" embodies fiery vulnerability. The lyrics are passionate. About the delivery, there is an alluring sensuality to the vocals, and this is complemented by the visuals (I'm totally loving the visuals that the girls are delivering of late).

Stephen Boyce (known professionally as Vacatixn) is a talented emcee from East London. If you love great lyricism, then you should be keeping tabs on him. The 29-year-old brought to the fore his impeccable skills on "EFFY", his final single of 2025. Set against a jazzy, soulful instrumental and minimalist production, "EFFY" feels both warm and introspective. I love how Vacatixn balances vulnerability with self-assuredness, giving us a song that's perfect for reflective moments.

After the release of her debut album, Swedish dancer-turned-singer Halon proceeded into a break that lasted about two years. She then returned a couple of months ago, unveiling "A Second Summer". And here is yet another outstanding single. The vibrant alt-pop song is called "How Can You, How Can I" and is lifted from Halon's planned sophomore album. For this song, the Stockholm-based singer teamed up with songwriter Hilda Stenmalm (Liam McCluskey was on production duty).

And the fact that she only made her debut late last year makes this even more remarkable. The latest offering from the UK newcomer is a dance-pop banger called "Open Doors". This song was released accompanied by stunning visuals that match its vibrant energy.

Cucino by Sydney-based musician Benjamino is such a refreshing album. I mean, a runtime of thirty-two minutes has never felt this short. But it's just not the listening experience that I find totally engaging, the concept around this project is pretty solid too. With this album, Benjamino crafted a beautiful culinary narrative, leaning closely into his Italian heritage (the word 'cucino' is Italian for 'I cook').
