After TriMet declined to release video of a MAX train passenger whose coat got caught in the doors and who then was dragged by the train, I appealed to the DA. The DA ruled the portions of the video were of public safety interest and must be released. My story:

My story today: I had what might best be described as a stunning experience shopping at Costco during its new 9 a.m. opening hours for Executive members. I am so used to crowds on the weekends, which is when I normally shop, but this was strikingly different.

Portland's ombudsman wants the city to crack down on a tow company that is, according to a report, charging a median of about $1,900 per towed vehicle.
