Why are casinos and pokies everywhere in Australia? We have the highest gambling losses per capita in the world. Why can’t we move all the casinos far away from cities? Why does it feel like greed is driving this? It’s heartbreaking to see people losing their last dollars to gambling.

I miss the ’90s, but it’s probably just nostalgia for being young. Looking back, we were kind of a bunch of meanies. Gen Z, on the other hand, are so much kinder and more thoughtful! My son and nephews are beautiful human beings - tactful, accepting, inclusive 💕

I love the warmth and joy that Christmas brings—a chance to come together and celebrate. Yet, it’s hard not to feel deeply conflicted, knowing the world is facing so many challenges. Perhaps this season, we can focus on spreading hope through acts of kindness and connection.
