Israel has ordered Palestinians to evacuate from parts of northern Gaza ahead of increased military action, as US President Donald Trump pushes for a ceasefire deal. People in neighbourhoods across Gaza City and Jabalia have been told to move south towards the coastal area of al-Mawasi as Israeli military operations "intensify and expand westward". At least 86 people were killed as the result of Israeli attacks in the 24 hours before midday on Sunday, the Hamas-run health ministry said.

The Supreme Court has handed down a 6-3 decision that allows states to disqualify Planned Parenthood from their Medicaid programs. The ruling is a major shift in how states can allocate taxpayer healthcare dollars, especially regarding providers associated with abortion services. The justices ruled that Medicaid recipients do not have the legal right to sue if a state removes a provider from the program, even if that provider meets federal qualifications.

The U.S. Supreme Court has decided on a landmark case that redefines the boundaries between the public school education system, LGBTQ lessons, and parental rights.  The high court ruled Friday that Maryland parents can pull their children from public school lessons that use LGBTQ storybooks.  In a 6-3 vote, the justices reversed lower-court rulings that had been in favor of the Montgomery County school system.

In a move that protects young people using the internet, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a Texas law requiring porn sites to verify that users are ages 18 or older.  In a 6-3 decision, the high court rejected a challenge to the state's law, HB 1181. The law, which was enacted in 2023, requires websites to verify that a user is over the age of 18 if more than one-third of their content is considered harmful to minors.

Iran has the capacity to start enriching uranium again - for a possible bomb - in "a matter of months", the head of the UN's nuclear watchdog has said.
