He just brings you into his world, leads you around and keeps you anticipating and thinking you have it, but you don’t. Timeless, could have been written yesterday. I’m on the waiting list for his next book’s translations publication.

A new author for me, but not for most of the world. I just finished Seicho Matsumoto’s first novel that he wrote in 1958. Tokyo Express, Recently translated from Japanese to English and published in the U.S. Matsumoto is known as the Japanese Agatha Christie.

I starting re-reading the first book in the Roger the Chapman series. The author, Kate Sedley, sets her story of a fictional 15th century traveling salesman within the stage of true historical events and characters. A Chapman was a 1400’s door to door salesman.

Well, by that reasoning the Citizens of Cina wouldn’t eat Asian food from December to February and Japan wouldn’t eat any white peoples food on August 6th.

Good read!
The Librarians of Lisbon. Fictional characters interacting with the actual activities during WW2. Amazing information about how Portugal walked a tightrope between Nazi Germany and the Allied Nations suppling a critical component for the manufacture of weapons. 💙📚👀📢📚 #Booksky

Also the thousands of displaced aliens, many cases Jewish people, homosexuals, handicapped, mentally disabled by Nazi values trying to travel to safe countries. Meanwhile Nazi Brownshirts and SS are kidnapping people off the street of Lisbon and other Portuguese towns and shipping them to Germany

An even word count is an amazing achievement. My notes and character development always dwarfed my writing 20 to 1.
Blue Sky is guiding my self discovery. I’ve just realized one of the causes of my lack of any published works.

It was a farce about beer barrels rolling down the classroom isles, pirates, beer guzzling teachers and such.
Unfortunately we misunderstood and that didn’t bring us in to hear their praise ( we actually knew better, but it was well composed) Our boy was asked to leave the school.

My amazing wife and her woefully inadequate
semi-rebellious husband were called to our youngest son’s school. The principal, counselor and English teacher presented us with our then, 11 year olds essay assignment on “My School”. As we read it we stifled smiles and then laughter.

I already have made that choice. I make small monthly contributions to a few charities that each fund research for one disease. Those donations are for specific diseases that have caused disability and or death to my family and friends.

Covers aren’t that important to me but I don’t disagree with you that for many the cover is the attention getter.

I don’t mind A.I., as long as it is acknowledged. Before A.I. it was a search for royalty free art for starving self published authors.
Not all novelists artistic abilities extend from words to drawing.

I’m enjoying your novel. Just finished your third chapter. I like the way you created the family’s loving relationship with both children and then brought in the daughter revealing her secret to her brother.

I just ordered it. Thank you for the recommendation. I have copies of his horse photos taken for Leland Stanford. Muybridge has fascinated me since as a child, I saw black and white TV episode about him.

I used my Kindle unlimited account to download it. I pay Amazon each month with the hope( but no actual knowledge) that the authors receive some remuneration.

I would stop for a 5 cent cake donut every morning for a cake donut after finishing my paper route, 60 years ago. At least in California, paper routes, whenchels, and nickel
