--Interest in collaborating on various additional projects involving fieldwork in the southern Chilean Andes, including the Patagonian Ice Fields.

*Requirements*
--Advanced proficiency in programming languages for climate data analysis (e.g., Python, R, CDO, or similar).
--Background in climate science, geosciences, or related fields.
Working languages: English and Spanish (Spanish proficiency is not required).

*Conditions*
--Monthly salary equivalent to the Chilean Science Agency's Postdoctoral fellowships (Agencia Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo: s3.amazonaws.com/documentos.a... see section 7.1).
--Research support: Funds to attend conferences and small funding to develop new research ideas.

*Job Description*
--Main task: Analysis of climate dynamics using CMIP6 model outputs, with a focus on high mountain areas.
--Workplace: Department of Geography, University of Concepción.

The work will focus on the analysis of climate dynamics, comparing data from different CMIP6 experiments, mainly SSP585, SSP245, and GeoMIP (SAI, MCB, etc.) in mountain areas. This work is being carried out in collaboration with the Universidad de la Frontera in Temuco.

Duration: 12 months, ideally starting between late June and early July 2025. Application Deadline: April 5, 2025
