The sheer amount of community building that happens at events like CubeCon, Paupergeddon, and even Shoebox (March 2026) is simply remarkable - and is actually the thing that will outlive Magic more than anything else. Without it, we'd lose the most important characteristic and that is The Gathering.

It's important to remember how these chuds pretend to act respectable in order to hide their hate under completely reasonable pretenses like "I'm just wearing my silly red hat."

Had a friend who moved away visiting this week and we got to play Vistas. I removed all 2 card combos from the cube but he decided to go through the list looking for other combos and managed to 3-0 with this monstrosity. He combo’d 3 different ways during matches. Can you find them all? #mtgcube

Finished 5-2 in the day at @themanavault.bsky.social’s Bar-b-cube event eventually losing in the finals to @calebdmtg.bsky.social. The event had immaculate vibes and I’m thrilled to make it back for their next event.

The bracket is set! Voting will begin Monday June 9th at 9am CDT. This year will be similar to last year's voting with a few small tweaks. We're still using our STAV - Single Transferable Adjusted Voting Algorithm this year but we will be running Polls in 3 stages.

Making this my "staff pick" was a bit like cheating since the non-desert version was in the main event last year. Collin submitted both a desert and non-desert version but I adored the idea of seeing P9 next to basics in a pack and jumped on picking this one. The p1p1 is exactly what I love about it

This should be true of most cube p1p1s but people under-prioritize lands in non-desert environments.
The curse of desert cubes is that your p1p1s are often responded to with “well I take the triome/fetch of course”

We took your feedback from last year to heart and are putting a larger emphasis on Cubes being selected through the public vote. We've also split Returning Cubes out of the Staff Picks section to add more transparency. I look forward to seeing everyone again this Fall!
Hold onto your britches because we have *a lot* of Cube announcements coming up. Cubes this year can come from five sources: Champion's Choice, Creator Spotlight, Returning Favorite, Staff Pick, and Community Vote. We're starting things off with some of your favorites from CubeCon2024! #mtgcube
