That "KFC" chicken was too much like KFC. Better to just fry it in oil rather than pre-cooking in steam. Also the starch/flour ratio at 50/50, 🤢. Going back to 30/70 s/f. And thicker. And with added cornmeal. Coat then roll.

I finished making my "KFC" chicken. Taste and texture pretty much identical. What else did I expect? 🤦♂️ I won't be making it again. So, the Col Sanders method makes it possible to make the chicken in minutes, but the taste and texture is not 100%. Oh well.

I think I am gonna try something. Col Sanders once told me the secret to his fried chicken. Now that everything is so expensive I think I'll make some fried chicken thighs using his method.

My two-handed axe. Exceedingly dangerous. If you're off by even a few inches, you can deflect it off the piece of trunk and into your leg. So best not used like that. Better to embed it in the piece with a light tap, raise the whole combo and bring it down. Wedge/hammer safer I think.
