Conquering the hopefully final stages of a cold/allergy combo and happy to share that I just put up a good ponytail. I repeat, I just put up a good ponytail. Selfie does not do it justice. Finishing a bookshelf project and calling it a day. Happy Saturday!

Instagram wants me to like friends’ posts so badly that it just pushes them to the top when I have passed them over for a whole day. Growth is withstanding this human + nonhuman social pressure. I only want to be a sincere liker. Don’t wanna like things if I don’t have an emotional reaction.

I don’t think it’s the school starting so much as it is the driving driving driving from home to high school to grade school to university for two hours in the morning and two more in the afternoon. Gonna cherish those WFH days.

Comp orientation today. My 15 yo texted me that she arrived at school so I texted myself outside elevators waiting to haul treats to the library for a day of sessions. The instructors I work with are amazing. Happy to have everyone in one spot.

Am rarely a procrastinator so all this cleaning the house to have a clean slate to go back to school Wednesday is the brain switch I need between a summer of finishing manuscripts and a fall of FYW 💕. I let projects go all summer in favor of writing, it’s so so messy, so today is the day.

Up north enjoying a brain cleanse, but everyone else is sleeping in so here’s my first post. I wrote all summer. I have to remember I have been teaching for 23 years and can do this one, too. I’ll be on here to check out all the new stuff you all are writing about. Thanks!
