At the grocery store, how come conventional produce is sold loose while the organic produce is in plastic packaging (e.g., lemons and bell peppers)..?

-So when we say “microplastic” we also mean *nano* scale. Great.
-Do all plastic containers leach even when not heated or frozen?
-Research on health effects is ongoing. Any useful findings yet?
