To give credit where credit is due: I complained about #HamOnt 's proposed changes to make having a beer in the park or at the beach illegal, and I also called @cameronkroetsch.bsky.social's office to voice my concern - I got a call back, he voted against it, and the change did not pass. 👏

This is so dumb: “ #hamont will have no tailgate parties on city property, no drinking in parks and no alcohol served during events at municipal service centres — including city hall...” Having a beer in a park is one of the great pleasures of life. Give us a break!

Here’s a thought - maybe Canada should acquire, by peaceful means of course, an additional warm province. Perhaps Puerto Ricans are tired of lacking representation? We can offer peace, order and an absence of fascists.

Growing up the son of an entrepreneur and becoming one myself might be why I'm so affected when I hear about hardships inflicted on small biz owners. What happened to Jewish entrepreneurs in the early years of Nazism has haunted me since I first read about it. 1/2

This #tradewar will deeply damage trust in US cloud companies. I manage 2 web apps hosted on US clouds. Monthly billing is ~$2k USD. Small potatoes but I’m just one person. I’m soon deploying a 3rd app & I’m looking at European options. I can’t have my clients held hostage or data compromised.
