Good morning world. Having engaged with many interesting people on X since 2015 it is time to broaden the horizon with Bluesky.
In what world do we treat gender like a commodity that can be bought and sold at the whim of the undecided.
The human race is rapidly losing sight of how we fit into the truths of nature and there will be many who suffer after deciding that truth is not on their agenda.

Starmer has always been reluctant to surround himself with governing ability, hence Reeves, Cooper etc.
Bringing Burnham within the front bench would at least provide the cabinet with a sense of competence.

On assisted dying legislation the government is happy to abdicate its responsibilities by bowing down to public opinion.
If that really is the case a private member’s bill for a return of the death penalty can’t be too far away.

Starmer is like a weather vane and as soon as he saw the criticism of Mr Trump gaining traction & with public support he jettisoned his sycophancy for more pragmatic principles.

If there is to be a plus from the ramblings of Donald Trump it is confirmation that the future of the UK is dependent on a closer link to Europe.
Brexit was always against the UK’s economic and security interest and Starmer should be encouraged to speed up re-alignment.

Mark Carney 🇨🇦 has moved effortlessly from finance to politics and is without doubt a most impressive leader.
Calm, considered, principled and knowledgeable, Canadians are fortunate to have such an effective Prime Minister.

You may not have water running through your taps, but my financial bonus is fully intact. The con trick of the Thatcherite utilities privatisation programme continues to live on unashamedly.

USA speaker Mike Johnson is nearly as delusional as Donald Rump.
A smirking defendant of the indefensible.

We are living in extraordinary times as Trump continues to impose his chaos within the world’s diplomatic process.
Threats, cajoling, bullying, lying with a large portion of hubris have now become the trademark of the President of the United States.
Time for the world to say hands off.

A very decent West Midlands chief constable has been sacrificed on the alter of the Labour Party’s obsession with being friends of Israel.
Keeping Israeli football hooligans from any UK street should never be a sackable offence, irrespective of who their UK friends may be.

When the Thatcher government privatised the UK water industry, many anticipated that a profit & dividend policy would result in the shortages that are currently witnessed in Kent & Sussex today.

If religion and politics is the separator, surely we must rely on music and the arts for our cultural unification.
David Bowie would have had some words of wisdom for us all if he were amongst us today.

Watching the Joan Baez concert (BBC).
I marvelled at her sweet voice in the early 60’s and was fortunate to see her in Brighton UK a few years ago.
A true gift to the music industry for many decades and her version of “We shall overcome” remains a sublime carrion call for justice. @BBC

The film “It’s a wonderful life” is a yearly reminder that a generous principle can overcome a greedy narrow view of humanity. Even renting it this year seems money well spent as we consider how we can emulate our hero George Bailey.

Good to see a man of principle and integrity win awards last night. Some sporting personalities add value to a wider audience and Rory Mcilroy fits that category perfectly.
