You have to suck at something before you get really good at it. Looking at the timeline history of art, it took a long time for humans to grasp depth and the 3rd dimension. They sucked at it first, and gradually got better. You will take less than 10k years, but it will take you a while.

You have to suck at something before you get really good at it. Looking at the timeline history of art, it took a long time for humans to grasp depth and the 3rd dimension. They sucked at it first, and gradually got better. You will take less than 10k years, but it will take you a while.
Something that I know I lack in my art is backgrounds, and that's something I hope to improve on this year. This is from last month, and was done by using the wet brush first, letting dry, and then adding the outlines.
