Very strong, assertive first half had Villa rattled. But after Konsa’s red we were wasteful in the final third and made some poor decisions.

We were blunt in attack - expected from Wilson (to the point of being a hindrance) but more poor decision-making in final third by Barnes & Gordon.

Beaten by a poorer side.

A gargantuan win in the sunshine, a dogged Newcastle get the better of 10-man Chelsea.
Cracking 1st half which set the tone (red card justified) but a nervy/leggy 2nd half challenged us.
