This week I heard geoscientist Andrés Ruzo & @theexplorersclub.bsky.social Teacher Fellows share stories from Peru’s Boiling River.

Their passion reminded me how powerful experiential learning is — for students & for anyone curious about the world. Grateful for such an inspiring night!

For April’s full moon, I partnered with Art Students League of New York artists Malin Abrahamsson and Patricia Espinosa, and nature photographer Jeanne Yan for a night of moongazing and an artist talk at Riverside Park.

In the middle of NYC, we carved out a space for wonder. People came together—some for the first time—to peer through a telescope, see Jupiter’s moons, and share in the magic of the night sky. Awe is better when it’s shared.
