Words are political - the use by journalists of the phrase ‘mansion tax’ is pushing the government’s line that this is a tax on posh people. Whether or not it’s a good policy - I think we in the media should use more neutral terminology that doesn’t push any agenda or perspective.

Chancellor chat continues ahead of the budget - in essence her problem is that the markets want her to be tough. Voters don’t.

Whatever she does, she is going to be very unpopular with either the markets or voters - so she just can’t win

Quick reminder for anyone travelling budget airlines this half term - in addition to you small cabin bag you are usually allowed one bag of duty free - if you happen to use it for a jumper etc - I can’t imagine they would mind. Some airlines more fussy than others
