Strong Water has some decent local beers for takeaway and then a bit of a walk to Scott Skinners (towards Aberdoom). Probably the best place for good pub grub - liked it π€ͺ

Also in Banchory - Douglas Arms. Fabulous bar & gantry, dog owning staff, only a GK cask beer, great snug, Indian food after 4:30pn - drats!

Some interesting places in Banchory. Ravenswood British Legion - up that damn hill, need to be signed-in, nice Burnside cask, good food, great views. Yup - interesting π€ͺ

Also worth seeking out in Blairgowrie is The Stormont Arms. First visit for me - quieter than the Ericht, the Mor cask was well kept, I brushed up on my darts & found another pub dog. Note - cash only in here π΅

It's absolutely ages since I've been in the Ericht Alehouse in Blairgowrie. Now a community run pub it's maybe been spruced up a bit but still has a great Scottish beer selection (6x cask), decent fridge & friendly pub dogs. Check the opening times tho !
