A peanut packet found at Essex Wildlife Trust Colne Point today by myself and a few colleagues. Any guesses when the peanuts that used to be in this packet expired?

Stunning morning in North Essex, as a lad who grew up without the sea near by I always appreciate the view.

It’s been a busy few weeks full of learning and knowledge sharing! I attended and presented at the @rspb.bsky.social shorebird symposium. Presented at the Tendring local groups meet up and also attended the wildlife trusts living seas conference. Absolutely loads to dwell on across the coming days.

Was not expecting to see an advert for myself today at Weeleyhall Woods. I’ll be talking about our work conserving beach-nesting birds, as well as our other marine projects for the Tendring Local group.

This Thursday, 7:30pm at Great Bentley Village hall. Entry is free! Would love to see you there.

This year I’ve really grown to appreciate mushrooms more than I usually would 🍄. Some stunning specimens on show across Essex shown in the photos 🍄‍🟫.

Out this afternoon near Brightlingsea photographing our Saltmarsh sausages. These coir rolls have been tactically put in creeks to help slow down the rate of erosion overtime. Some have worked better than others. Also witnessed paramotoring just above protected marsh, flushing out all the birds 🙄

Hi everyone, I’m Adam, Coastal Ranger at Essex Wildlife Trust. I’ll try to post about what I’m up to in my day to day role. For now here’s some of the best photos from this years beach-nesting bird season. Part of my role is to monitor and protect little tern, oystercatcher and ringed plover nests.
