Me sleep talking: "I think the baby is coming tonight."
Wife: "How do you know?"
"You can see it if you go into the settings."

An annoying one-by-error: Rushing into the hospital. Car park system wouldn't let me in until a car left because it was full, but it was off by one, so I had to wait inside until another left. At the same time, the next car is coming and you're hoping they don't try to take it

It just occurred to me that Cameo is like AI video generation via prompts, but instead of selecting a model, you select a celebrity / real-life model

142HP?! What a rocket. I might have to get one to spray out my window when overtaking. No wonder it's so expensive

✅ Challenge completed: Survive* a week in Italy as someone who can't have dairy.

Wow, that was tough!

Desktop app I'm too busy to build: AppSnitcher. It tells you whenever an app adds itself to your dock or sets itself to launch on login. It would then offer actions like "block/revert" and "block all future attempts".

I am so unlucky haha. Back in August, I tore both sides of my groin very badly (it came off the bone on one side). I was due to go back soccer training this week. During a 7k mud run / obstacle course at the weekend, I fractured my ankle and tore ligaments.

I think about getting a dog every 2/3 days and then talk myself out of it

My latest project at Readwise is an interesting one. I built it from end-to-end and I loved learning about AI, vector databases, etc.

So many users have called it a 'game-changer' that we've joked about renaming it that 😅

Just saw someone refer to Robbie Williams as "Robbie Williams (the monkey from Better Man)"

I've always found it hard to fall asleep. Mental games / concentrating on something usually doesn't work. I've found one that has worked for me (at least twice anyway); go through the alphabet and name 3 countries that start with each letter. I think the key is in being patient and not skipping

I am rational, not impulsive. I see randomness in coincidences, not fate. I'm sceptical. But I find myself waiting for this year to end, hoping the he next will better, even though new year's day is just an arbitrary point in time. The bar is very low.

I'm sick of travelling for the first time ever. That was disappointing until I realised I had 9 flights in 13 days, two of which were 10hrs+, plus I had two ~10hr delays in airports. It's only fair that I'm tired then

It's 4am. I just got back from a stag party 12 hours ago and I'm back in the airport again. I've already accidentally left my passport at the water fountain. Off to a good start

Here's a funny little quirk in the Premier League app.

The fixture difficulty table doesn't scroll horizontally as a whole, each row is independently scrollable and it's then synced to the other rows.

It makes for some funny behaviour if you scroll back and forth.

Shadow DOM protects my custom element from styles defined outside, nice!

Oh... some rules can pierce the shadow DOM.

Oh... and my custom element's CSS can affect elements outside of it.

I don't think I will ever get used to firefighters and emergency responders thanking me for a silly little game I made for my dad for Christmas ♥️

Every now and again I think of “The Door Problem”: lizengland.com/blog/2014/04...

This time it's because I'm creating a comprehensive button component / system. Buttons and links tell you a lot about an app and the team behind it
