I haven't seen this reported by the mainstream media at all, but the Glazers have been eyeing up a new stadium and redevelopment of the surrounding lands since 2018. If anyone thinks this is Ineos' idea, it looks like they need to dig a little deeper.

Even though Canada is a host country, I’ve never wanted to see a World Cup fail more badly than this one. A complete bunch of grifters.
FIFA's current parking prices will cost more than some actual match tickets at previous World Cups.
Parking and transportation have long represented an imposing challenge for the World Cup’s 16 North American host cities.

Chelsea’s Cole Palmer has successfully trademarked his signature shivering celebration.
Palmer’s application, which included a short clip of him performing the celebration, was approved by the United Kingdom’s government Intellectual Property Office on Friday.

If you had told me, on Aug 1st, United would be ahead of Liverpool in the table and scored more goals by GW11 (after they spent £500m) I not only would have chuffed, I may have blocked you because I would have thought you’re a crazy person. What a weird season.

God, I hate Verstappen (but can’t help admire how ridiculous a driver he is).

Does anyone know the last time we’ve won 5 PL games in a row? The last time we won 5 in a row was Feb 2024 but that included at least 1 FA cup victory from an early round. It’s odd to me how one fan has seemed to have shifted the narrative to a stat that’s actually very difficult to achieve.
In a strange way, I feel the hair-cut guy and the 5 wins in a row narrative (quite a rare feat for any team) has skewed some fans’ expectations. Winning 3 on the bounce and drawing 2 tricky away games is ‘fine’. If we won every game, we’d literally be title contenders - that ain’t us! 😂

If there’s one positive to take from yesterday’s result it’s ruining this silly twat’s day. Daft cunt ripping his shirt off like he’d scored the goal to win the CL final. 🤦🏻♂️

Listening & reading some post match commentary/opinions & I’m a bit confused why Amorim is getting flack for that result & performance? I didn’t have any real issue with the subs. Should he have pushed the team for another goal? We let Spurs have the ball but they weren’t doing much with it. 🤷🏻♂️

Had a late night and didn’t manage to get up for the 4:30am kickoff (and kind of glad of my decision). Spurs are pretty poor aren’t they, but I guess we’re not much better? Would have been highly annoyed if we lost but it still feels like 2 points lost.

I imagine quite a few pundits and even some “fans” are annoyed by this. Their tears taste great this morning

5 Surprising Facts About Metallica’s ‘Kill ’Em All’ - That Eric Alper
When Kill ’Em All roared out of speakers in 1983, it marked the birth of thrash metal. Metallica’s debut fused punk speed with metal precision, creating a sound that shattered the rules of heavy music. Recorded on a small budget and pure hunger, the album turned four young Californians into global pioneers. Its influence ignited […]

Gee, I wonder who’s going to win? Couldn’t win a real peace prize so he’s gets one manufactured for him. Ego more fragile than a Moa egg.

I desperately urge everyone to read this entire thread. The best comedy writers in the world wouldn’t be able craft something so funny. How is this real life?

I didn’t see much discussion on this last week. Paul Scholes has always been one of my favorite United players but I have infinite more respect for him now being so forthcoming about stepping back from football to care for his son. He sounds like a great father. The first 20 mins are a must watch.

Going into the season, I had very little concern about our defense and I still believe we have a solid back line with DeLigt being one of the top CB’s in the PL. So I’m left scratching my head slightly how we’re 14th in the league for goals conceded. Why are we giving up so many goals?

Tottenham haven't won a home match since the opening game of this season. And that win came against newly promoted Burnley.
