i’m locked in my bedroom for 2 weeks writing to my high school english and theatre teacher. it became a story of my adventures around the world as i ran from the generational trauma. every single turning point of my odyssey pointed back to the one woman who lit my torch. write to your lightbringer!

i found just the right friend to explore the Smithsonian with. me and a baby elephant explored the treasures of the world together and her hugs kept me calm in the busy crowd. i don’t care what people thought as Flora kept me company all day. be sure to find a fuzzy friend and have the best day!

i bought this big bag of dead mealworms to feed my birds and i think they are dejected by them just as much as i am. now i got stuck with over a pound of funky smelling dead mealworms.

i looked up and studied the light cast through nimbus and cumulonimbus puffs. my feet seemed to know where to go, which was across the field from the fishing pier and past the concession stand and climbing up the bench and onto the picnic table. there!

i hid away in the woods for a few days and had a nice meditation in a damp grove with these lovely flowers. they are called ‘spring beauty’ or ‘fairy potato’ and are entirely edible. they only flower a short while in spring but can be harvested year round. the tuber tastes like potato. #photography

This is the Sandy Point shoal light. I visit this lighthouse often to meditate. I’ll be posting more of the same shot but in different times of the year, and different weather to match the mood that made me go out to take the photo. Maybe this way you can visit this place too. #photography

i found a place where the potomac river meets the chesepeake bay. there was a lovely formation of river rocks and very fine clay as the shoreline. sometimes it’s more rewarding to look down instead of up.
