Straight to the point, and if knock-off-Nigel doesn'tlike it, he could always try not being an opportunist, racist, grifter.

Venus imaged mid-morning today, when only 5.2% illuminated. The narrowest crescent I've ever captured of this world.

I was imaging the Sun and thought I'd try Venus which was only about 18° away.

I tried for Saturn too, but that was asking too much!

Costa Rica has massively rewilded over recent decades. Has this led to the collapse of farming, rural society, or national wellbeing?

Totally the opposite, and we in Ireland have SO much to learn from their example. My piece for the @irishexaminer.bsky.social

I’m almost moderately excited to see what Flashes will bring to the party and hopefully, my further extraction from the MetaCurse.

We’re in a new Gilded Age - which sounds great, but the Robber Barons are back.
And this time, they’re more selfish than ever, as Prof Tobias Jung, St Andrews University, writes:

Andrew Carnegie and the 19th-century ‘robber barons’ have lessons for today’s oligarchs about the responsibilities of wealth
The 19th-century industrialists were called ‘robber barons’ – but they did more to improve society than many of today’s super-rich.
