Today I visited one of my favorite locally owned coffee shops, bought flowers from a small local shop, and went to my favorite locally owned bookstore. Focusing today on supporting local and spending time with my family.

Creating a world focused atmosphere in our classrooms doesn't have to be difficult or take a lot of time. Start with a map and start referencing to it as you teach. @skylight.social I love what you're creating!

It's taken me a few years to find my teaching community in Indiana but this years conference was so much fun! I saw so many teachers from my district and it was exciting to learn and grow together outside of district pd.

I'm so thankful for the teacher community I have found. My team of gym, art, and computer science helped coordinate all the transitions of our K-5 winter community day!

I'm so thankful for a district and community who support the fine arts. Between multiple @donorschoose.bsky.social projects and a district that put money into all schools receiving instruments, my room is overflowing with possibilities!

I have reached the point of December as a music teacher where I'm confident things are ready while equally being overwhelmed with everything that still needs to be done.
As an educator and musician, I consider myself a workaholic in recovery. This last week is probably one of the first breaks where I haven't worked on a project or tried to get work done. It's been refreshing.

I love the winterlights that my local art museum does every year. The butterflies coming out of the piano was one of my favorite indoor displays.
