Doing EMDR with DID? Ask 4 questions: Who needs to process? Who do they want w/ them? Who do they want to keep away? Who can alert the system/therapist that those selves are not away &/or signal the need to pause processing? You can do EMDR w/ DID, & any self can do BLS, not just adults. #therapist

"Young" parts of us don't need-- or appreciate, generally-- being infantilized or condescended to. They hold developmentally "young" memories & experiences, but they need to know they are seen & respected & needed just as much as our more "adult" parts in trauma recovery.
