🌱This winter wreath on our front door was made from an artificial greens wreath. I added eucalyptus, berries etc for subtle color and interest. It holds up well in winter storms. Soon it will be replaced by a wreath with a hint of Spring. More snow coming tonight. #Gardening

🌱If you’re looking for an easy flowering plant for your garden you can’t beat oriental lilies. They’re gorgeous, long lasting and fragrant. I’m ordering more now and
can’t wait to see them bloom this year. I took this picture in our garden last year.

Spending time today planning the flower gardens and making notes of flower seeds that we need to order. Love to look back at favorites like this Shirley poppy. 🌱

Today was our neighborhood/friends
Holiday Cookie Swap. Started about 30 years ago. Everyone voted on Best Cookie. Very fun and everyone goes home with lots of cookies. Highly recommend.

Just ordered more Dahlia tubers for this Spring from Swan Island, Longfield Gardens and Eden Bros. One of my favorite tasks on a cold wintry day. Does anyone have favorite Dahlia suppliers?

The hydrangeas in our gardens were spectacular this year. Hydrangeas did well all around New England. I’ve never seen such vibrant colors.

Walking in the woods-even for a short time-helps to relax, breathe, and then keep moving forward in these troubling times. I hope everyone has a moment to get outside today.

Just finished storing dahlia bulbs for the winter. Such a messy
task but so worth it next
August when they bloom
again. I so appreciate the photos from gardens around the world.
