I spent all day formatting my book for Amazon. Redid the cover, reread it a dozen times. I submitted it and now the 72 hour wait begins. Paperback is $12.99, ebook $7.99. Once it’s live, I’ll order a copy to see how it looks. Not perfect, but as close as I could get on my own.

I mourn, every day, the man I might have grown into. The husband I never got to be. The family I carried in my heart but never had the chance to build. I don’t dwell there on purpose, but it finds me anyway, reminding me of the life I imagined and the love I was ready to give.

I’m realizing I just have to accept that some of you live off the negativity on social media. You feed the algorithm, it feeds you the vitriol, and then you wonder why your timeline is a mess. It’s honestly sad. There’s already enough hate in the world without choosing to make yourselves miserable.

Writing my memoir has been a healing experience. Decades of trauma and drama released through my fingertips. Don’t get me wrong, I shared the good tomes and funny stories. I’m still working on finding a way to format it for ebook and paperback. It’s a pretty heavy read at party, but it makes up me.

If you’ve ever wanted to write a memoir or a novel, I recommend going for it. I’ve been wanting to share my story since I was 18, now many decades later I accumulated a wide range of stories to make it worth to share now. I doubt I’ll sell any, but at least it’s out of me now.

I’ve lived through Y2K, fake raptures, social media, 9/11, Katrina, AIDS crisis, Challenger explosion, the 2008 crash, COVID, mass shootings, marriage, divorce, fatherhood, false alien invasions, Trump, wars, doomsday clocks ticking, and the first Black president. If I say I’m tired… believe me. 😮💨
