I read recently-translated Solvej Balle's Vol. 3 in "On the Calculation of Volume", and wondered what I would do if, like her narrator Tara Selter, I was stuck in a time loop, one day endlessly repeating. The 1st thing would be learn to read Danish so I could read the last 4 books in the series.📚💙

What an incredibly wearying time to be alive. Not that anyone should consider alternatives. Stay safe, stay sane.
Carl Reiner and Rob Reiner had a 75 year legacy of entertaining people, starting with "Your Show of Shows" in 1950. If Rob had only directed "The Princess Bride", his contribution to the joy in our lives would still be immeasurable. Activism and brilliance both in front of and behind the camera.
Rob Reiner credited his dad Carl Reiner and his "second father" Norman Lear for his activism.
Losing them all in a span of just 5 years is heartbreaking.

Dick Van Dyke is a wonderful person, great entertainer, and I can't stand to hear his voice. Let me explain. When I was in college I worked in an tiny animation studio that was making a film narrated by Van Dyke about alcoholism--he had done the narration gratis because he really is a good person.⏬
