Experts are clear: Small landlords would be no worse off if we #CapTheRentAt 3%.

According to an Economic Roundtable report, landlords are doing just fine because their net operating income has increased faster than inflation.

The L.A. City Council CAN help L.A.'s 1.5M rent-

Why we CAN Cap The Rent at 3%! If the city of Los Angeles caps annual rent increases at 3%, L.A. would be in line with most cities in CA. Listen to the LA Housing Dept. & Economic Roundtable tell LA City Council Housing Committee members about how common this formula really is.

Lowering rent caps- statewide and at the local level- is the fastest, most cost-effective way to stabilize housing while CA works to build what we need long-term. Passing #AB1157- the #AffordableRentAct - at the state level, and capping rent increases to 3% in Los Angeles

California! Why do we need to pass the #AffordableRentAct ? L.A. resident Evelin tells her story of struggling to pay rent while also raising her child. She simply can't afford a massive rent increase. Most families are already spending over 30% of their income on rent.

As the 4th-largest economy in the world, the fact that any CA city would charge our most vulnerable-- seniors, the disabled, veterans- to stay in decrepit homeless shelters is DEPLORABLE.

We have the wealth, but who is it for?

Another world is possible.

Sacramento to charge monthly fees at homeless shelters — a rare policy in US
People living in the units would be required to 30% of their gross monthly income after an initial grace period of 90 days.
