Games Finished for 2025 #16: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
The culmination of a franchise. Almost every track you would want is here. Anti grav is cool but, 200 CC is the real highlight.
The new tracks look stunning, probably the best looking game on the Wii U/ Switch. The DLC is kinda hit or miss though.

Games Finished for 2025 #16: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Games Finished for 2025 #15: Mario Kart 7
I think it's secretly the best game in the franchise. The gliding and parts customization are great. It's just a really tight experience all around.
It's crazy that a 3DS game can be the peak for a series. And 8 kinda just builds on it.

Honestly up there with one of the best DS games. And a great entry in the series.
Great drifting, but I'm not the biggest fan of snaking in the game. I can't imagine how bad it got with online back in the day.
Also mission mode is a great addition.

Fun GBA game that's kinda just an upgraded version of the original SNES game.
While limited by being a handheld game. It does still have great sprites and a vibrant color palette.
Absolutely replaces the SNES game for me.

This game is such a big jump from the first game. Drifting and hopping are a lot better in this game, though still not perfect. Holds up better than most other N64 games.
This game's tracks/music are still so iconic and really made this series what it is.

Decided to go through all the Mario Kart games before World next month. Starting with the SNES.

A fantastic rogue-like puzzle game. Has a great sense of progression and discovery. The RNG can be a bit brutal at times, but you can manipulate it more as you progress.
If you're a fan of Outer Wilds, Myst, and or Obra Dinn; absolutely check it out!
