Albuquerque DSA stands with the people of Minneapolis in the face of ICE repression. The Trump administration has pushed racist demonization of the immigrant community, and the continued ICE presence has resulted in the murder of an unarmed woman supporting her community as a legal observer.

Albuquerque DSA is proud to have endorsed Rep. Chavez and we stand by her criticisms of ICE. ICE has been out of control, kidnapping community members from hospital beds and terrorizing families in their schools, workplaces, and homes. ICE is beyond reformation and must be abolished.

OUR VIEW: The notion that a caller would leave a message demanding City Councilor Alma Castro stop speaking Spanish at city meetings would be laughable if the current times weren’t so contentious. sfnm.co/3VsnSP1
No Spanish in Santa Fe? What a terrible idea

New Mexico's economy is a fraction of the size of New York City's.

If they can enact universal childcare — and relieve working families of a crushing cost burden — surely we can too.

It's just a question of political will.
New Mexico will be the first state to make child care free
The program, which is expected to save families $12,000 per child annually, is available to all residents regardless of income.

Last night, the Republican majority on the Albuquerque Land Use Committee voted down proposals for tenant protections and expanding safe outdoor spaces. The MAGA agenda isn’t interested in solving the homeless crisis, but instead wants to use it to fear monger for expanded police presence.

Like NYC, large sections of the Dem establishment here wants to collaborate with Trump and Republicans rather than deliver for the working class. We want to put a stop to that.
