Craftsman focusing on blades from the 15-16th centuries, mainly from the HRE.
Also, apparently I enjoy directing/organizing photoshoots. If you want to support this side project, consider supporting my Patreon at https://www.patreon.com/bladesnladies
A pretty special belt hook for a danse macabre themed dussack. Turned out pretty well, especially considering that I only spent about 50 hours on learning the skills. (I was thinking and theorizing a lot about it since my teens, but that's somewhat different than actually doing it)

I'm done with a blinged-up heavy l'Olonnais dussack. Pommel is hollow and it (along with the cross and shell) is japanned.

Short grip sharp Rugger with byknife with plum grip slabs. Also, the review by @skallagrim.bsky.social went up recently, check it out!
(and I still didn't have 15 minutes to watch it hmpppfff)

I obviously had to organize a shoot with the blinged-up Messer before I shipped it out.

Getting close to completion.

Progress on a pretty unique suspension.

Almost done now...

Strap divider for a baldric, based on a late 15th century statue, also custom shell and cross for a pimped-out l'Olonnais dussack.

We just managed to snag 550kg of old growth buxus sempervirens on the company side. Due to invasive, species-specific moths and a blight, such old specimens likely won't happen on the planet anymore. These were planted in the 18th century, and died about 5 years ago.

Late period Messer / transitional saber all done except for the grip. The spine starts off at 10mm thick, but distal taper and a quite flat triangular cross-section keep it pretty light.

Two blunt Volkers, both in plum, one with a custom hand-forged Nagel.

Progress on some neat stuff.

Also, let me check real quick if bluesky changed anything or they'll relabel this as porn again. Pic from a fantasy shoot with a spatha.

I'm still alive, doing a lot of stuff, I just have a hard time remembering to post here. I'll try being better at it.

Plus something really nice from the day job.
June 2, 2025 at 4:34 PM
And a fresh scabbard plus a new leather grip wrap for a Landsknecht longsword I did a while ago. Also the bypieces are "fake" in this case as per buyer's request.
June 2, 2025 at 4:33 PM
I also did a bunch of higher status bypieces.
June 2, 2025 at 4:31 PM
Finished pics of the scabbard I posted about earlier.

So I don't know how quick other people work, but this 6 hours of leatherwork definitely felt like a speedrun.

Scabbards and a sheath. The unfinished one is a parchment-lined scabbard core for a very expensive Katzbalger. The wood is 1.2mm thick, and it'll get a linen wrap, on which I'll build the subsheaths for a couple of bypieces, build the foundation for the decor, and wrap it in reindeer leather.

I did a lot of stuff recently including some nice bollocks, plus I'm still organizing photoshoots.

Busy sorting through the raw photos of the most recent photoshoot. We did a lot of pictures, both SFW and NSFW. I see no point in posting any of the latter here, but have a sampling of the former. Rebeka was great and luckily she enjoyed it a lot.

The end is nigh! The first production model light and heavy l'Olonnais dussacks are almost fully assembled. The heavy is 940g, PoB at 104mm from the cross, the light is 795g@83mm.
