I’m amazed at how Thales of Miletus first asked about the arché of all that exists. It’s a wonderful and an important question. Of course, influenced by ancient oriental knowledge… he was the one to ask for causes other than divine. Who of us would have come up with such a brilliant question!!

I wonder if madness is the absolutely other of language (significant sounds), if it has its own language (which does not establish meanings, but rather overflows with significations) and what it consists of as a limit.

In the #Timaeus philosophy of nature, why is it a problem the exogenous principle of creation that is the Demiurge? I’ve been reading many recent studies that favor #Aristotle’s endogenous principle over #Plato’s

I’m beginning to read Thomas #Bernhard’s „Die Ursache“. The prologue describes him as a misanthrope who is also morally upright and believes in a certain kind of humanity. It made me wonder how we #cometobe and how this sustains. Will any label ever truly encapsulate us, we who #flow?

The advisor-researcher relationship in a doctoral program in #philosophy should be as horizontal as possible. My (now former) advisor attempted to impose a #research topic on me that deviated from my interests and motivations, which is another form of #violence.

I visited the National Museum of Anthropology in #MexicoCity. The first room, aimed to introduce anthrop science, left me in awe. Its central theme revolved around migration and its crucial role in the evolutionary process. #Migration, #movement, and #evolution resonate deeply with me.

#MindWandering, a daily experience linked to our creativity, sometimes escapes our control. I often experience it when I repel what I’m hearing/reading. I find mind wandering to be a potent and effective #resistance tool against the other’s #discursivecolonization. I can’t avoid it, it’s so organic.

#Aristotelian #theoryofcausality attempts to address a very specific problem concerning the #nature of things. Instead of accepting it as a fact, we should try to understand first the problem, so that we can grasp it and propose a more innovative solution with less severe consequences.

#Nietzsche once wrote in The Dawn of Day that #feelings are unreliable because they are constructed valuations. What may seem acceptable today could be repulsive tomorrow. However, if we can’t trust our own feelings experienced in our #bodies, then what else can we rely on?

#Music and #movement. A sonic expression of movement that makes things move as well. Have you ever discovered yourself moving a finger, foot, or head to the rhythm of a song? #Material waves that penetrate our #bodies, moving them from within, where they appeared to be at rest.

How #relaxing is the sound of the #forest. All the trees waving in the passage of the wind, leaves against leaves, branches against branches. Some leaves fall and, less frequently, some branches also fall. But the sound remains, as an expression of the #movement that it is.

Three years ago I quit #smoking. It was hard and at the same time it was one of my greatest pleasures, physically and socially. However I'm still careful not to say that I'm completely over it.

In his Genealogy of the Morals, #Nietzsche challenges the ethical consequences of the ascetic ideal on how we see and treat diseases such as syphilis. Consider how our judgments about illness and how we feel ill have been influenced by this ideal. It only worsens the suffering.

#Gilead was born as a Theocratic nation, where the most powerful people are those who decide how the sacred books should be interpreted. Reimagining what has been, what is in certain areas, and what could be through #Atwood's words has been a tremendously educational experience. #TheHandmaid’sTale

Is it really possible to be absolutely silent? What is it like to get to Nirvana for Buddhism practitioners? Do you guys stop listening to your thoughts? I associate silence with quiescence, stillness, lack of movement. I’m curious because I’m not sure a state of absolute silence is possible…

Today I was reading Derrida’s essay “Monolingualism of the Other”, it made me think of language elements that are impossible to be articulated in writing. I wonder how those expressions shaped our understanding of the world and us as subjects, and how they express us through our use of language

How do the ideas of cosmological order and God relate to politics? I was watching an interview with Žižek, he comments on Trump’s victory by first referring to the theological perspective of how we’ve come to conceive a cosmological order instead of the chaos inherent to the nature of things.
