Centre Left, pro-science, LQBTQI friendly, anti-fascist. Views are my own. He/Him.
We don't talk about it, but the birth rate has dropped in this country as it has elsewhere and we are becoming an aging population. Almost anything that reverses that can only be a good thing. 1/2
Good things in the budget, bad things in the budget, a lot of hard choices made on the reality of fuel duty into the exchequer and an aging population and poverty crisis.

Much to think about personally and politically.

PMQ's was as disappointing as expected but simply on performance (not political outlook) Badenoch wiped the floor with Starmer. Ed Davey repeated his call for a national inquiry into Russian interference in our politics, which Starmer cowardly sidestepped.

What does Starmer have to hide?

Fake news in my home town is rife. First we had the silly rumours that Premier Inn was taking in refugees (current active hotels don't do this), now we have the expansion of an Islamic education centre taking over a building next door that used to house a charity shop that closed some time ago. 1/2

Trial by jury is an essential check on state power. It places the people at the heart of deliberating justice. Without it we risk giving the state more weapons to use against us. In this era of creeping authoritarianism we need more checks on state power, not less. @mrjamesob.bsky.social

Young Farage was an anti-semitic shit bag who bullied a Jewish classmate by saying "gas them". Old Farage is an anti-semitic shit bag who accuses his former Jewish classmate of a political witch hunt instead of just apologising.

He hasn't changed, he's just got older.
November 26, 2025 at 8:51 AM
I'm just following this situation where Nigel Farage is accusing a Jewish classmate of embarking on a political campaign against him over anti-semitic comments made when they were kids.

He just doesn't get it does he?

I think the thing to take out of this, isn't that it was a long time ago, it's that it happened, the person who did it is mostly the same evil bastard today as he was then, and that he has not come out as being ashamed of it - because he isn't.
I’m beyond proud of Peter Ettedgui speaking out about Farage and the vile antisemitic abuse he endured. I first heard Peter’s story nearly 20 years ago when Farage was a virtual nobody. It’s not a hit job. Just the truth
November 25, 2025 at 10:36 PM
Fuck bullies.

This isn't difficult, Farage was a racist bully at school, it's on record and he's admitted it.

Fuck him.
Farage really on the ropes there.
Did you ever racially abuse fellow pupils?

It was years ago.

Did you ever racially abuse fellow pupils?

Not in a hurtful way.

Did you ever racially abuse fellow pupils?

Not with intent.

Did you ever racially abuse fellow pupils?

Not genuine abuse.

The Comey/James debacle is what happens then you fire all the capable lawyers who stand up to you and you are left with scared lawyers and people who wouldn't be trusted to a adjudicate a science fair.

The intimidation of EVERY SINGLE retired American serviceman and woman is the biggest self own ever, because urging serving men and women of the US military not to break the law only triggers the alpha males serving the pedo-in-chief if they are being told to break the law. 1/2

There are reasons why people like Mark Zuckerberg are so reticent about letting their own offspring use social media.
Imagine knowing your platform was a playground for predators, fueling teen depression, eating disorders, and suicide and deciding the best course of action was… absolutely nothing. Meta didn’t just “miss” anything.

Get this petition boosted, in addition write to your MP and make it clear that foreign interference in British politics has to be rooted out wherever it is. All parties must be willing and able to be scrutinized.

What I am seeing here is the old adage of keeping your friends close and your enemies closer still. Trump wants some of that Mamdani magic to rub off on him, but he also wants to damage him by association.

We have to be careful here.
I heard Zohran said "You know what people would love you for, sir, is universal health care and a basic income. They would build statues for you, and the very nasty people would suddenly be nice to you" and Trump said "wait really?" and now they're writing executive orders together

There is a chance for Democrats to take her seat. They have to take it.
BREAKING: Marjorie Taylor Greene announces she is resigning from Congress. Her last day in office will be January 5, 2026.

I'm thinking a lot right now about Trump saying that Putin has been stringing him along - in the context of every accusation being a confession, because I believe that Trump has been stringing us all along.
November 22, 2025 at 2:35 PM
I'm sure she did. Probably at a fucking party.
Nadine Dorries to LBC, "I saw Boris Johnson at his best at that time (at the start of the covid pandemic)"

If this was Boris Johnson's best, can you imagine his worst?

The problem with flooding the zone with shit is that things like this almost pass people by. Trump threatened the lives of people voicing support for the US constitution, and there has been no condemnation for the people who claimed to keep pocket versions on them.
The President called for the murder of Congressional Democrats.

Congressional Democrats should call for his immediate removal or resignation.

Congressional Republicans should condemn his statements and call for him to recant them.

It's the very least they should be doing!

I for one am glad that the Nathan Gill story is getting national news coverage. All of Farage's vehicles have been Russian backed assets, the real story behind Gill's sentence is how much he could have on Farage.

They've gone after whatever they think ANTIFA is, but are letting off actual fascism. I don't think we've met the darkest days of the USA yet.

Ukraine is being carved up between the USA and Russia, and the rest of us are just being told to accept it. This 28 point "peace plan" is a surrender plan in all but name. It has Donald Trump's saliva all over it.

This will go down in history as a bad day for Ukraine and Europe.
