After the last 2 days, I'm confidently convinced Eddington is perhaps the movie key to diagnosing the decade, if not the whole 21st century. An inverse Fukuyama, a piece of fiction that articulates a stronger truth: History does not end, it continues ceaselessly in increasingly stupid ways.

Testament to spike lee that highest 2 lowest is by no means a top five film in his oeuvre but has like four sayings that could be considered a top five scene of his career as a director. There's one in particular I paused and rewatched like four times

the first civilian humanoid robot is now selling in china and this video sort of mentally broke me. like something out of the background of a mid budget sci fi film and I can't comprehend it as reality. its messing with my brain.

Had an AI pass from a producer today on some pitch materials -- the note I got back alluded to a character dying, when there was an entire paragraph dedicated to how that character does not, in fact die. Obvious hallucination, and it's incredible how quickly this shit is infecting our industry lol

Rw'ing Conan the Barbarian tonight (perfect film, btw) and one thing Arnie understood that his failed successors didn't is the importance of being goofy. So unafraid to get silly on camera. Lose a fight. Faceplant into porridge. The stuff that makes him much more human and vulnerable and likable.
