2 months of his detention, Khadar remains behind bars with no clear charges, while those who claim to uphold justice mislead the public and remain silent upto date .
on Monday, he was brought to court and granted seven more days, highlighting the weakness of justice and accountability.

Between 5 and 1.6 years in prison were sentenced by the regional government .
Based on the charge sheets I reviewed, some appeared to be innocent, and the cases seem to target freedom of expression. One thing all the cases had in common is that they were based on Facebook comments.

This morning, the Federal Court ordered the release of journalist Tesfatelm, Tesfatelm, who had been in custody for the past 7 days, was released following today’s court ruling the fourth in his case since his arrest.

A new report indicates over 200 people in Ethiopia have taken their own lives due to despair and distress. Felege Specialized Hospital in Bahir Dar recorded 156 suicide-related case in 7 month , a hospital in Addis Ababa reported 40 suicide cases within the same period, according to DW media.
