I don’t have many pics of birds on wires, but here’s a couple for #birdoftheday! The first one is an Ovenbird- very strange to see him on a wire instead of hiding in the brush! The second is an Acorn Woodpecker whose granary was in a telephone pole attached to the wire!

Today’s #birdoftheday theme is staredown- here is a White-Breasted Nuthatch, along with an American Crow and Red-Shouldered Hawk all staring straight into my soul! The Crow and Hawk took a break from their argument to make sure I knew they saw me lol #birds 🪶

For the #birdoftheday this picture seems perfect! An American Crow and Red-Shouldered Hawk both spotted me watching them in my pine tree. The hawk’s breast is also spotted! Not only that but there’s also a corvid for #thursjay! #birds 🪶

For the #birdoftheday theme of migration- here’s a photo I took the other day of a beautiful Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker. These guys look so disheveled in the fall and winter, but I love them! I always look forward to seeing them again in the fall! #birds 🪶
