True neighborhood bike shop in West Seattle. Transportation, family and an all inclusive approach to retail. Used, refurbished bicycles are a specialty. Affordable, methodical and fast repair services. One of Seattle's oldest E Bike sales and repair shop.
Last miles car free options are needed. It is hard to say what part of Snohomish county these drivers came from, but if average statistics are in play most have driven from an area within 7 miles. How many might live near the Interurban trail I don't know. I did see a lot of walkers along 44th.

I have been wanting to go there. I have heard about this through YouTube. I have ridden in Utretch, Eindhoven and Groningen so a fair comparison might be in order. Any improvement in North America towards a Dutch design is appreciated.

Another restoration of a classic 1963 Schwinn Paramount. Not all original parts but from the same era .

Daily rider cyclists in West Seattle need to assert themselves to improve to or match the comfort of riding in other parts of Seattle. One way is to add your input at West Seattle Bike Connections meetings on the 1st Tuesdays of the month, usually held at the Neighborhood House in High Point. 6:30

It is one week this Saturday since the murder of our Surly Bike brethren Alex Pretti. We will be riding in solidarity with Alex and the many victims of the ICE chaos this Saturday. This is a take the lane ride to show solidarity and honor those who try harder.

Seems like we live in a place where water transportation would work. Mosquito Fleet?

Does not take much to define them though.

Despite the bravado of the American image, I doubt you will ever see a large percentage of population following the lead of our Dutch friends. In what world is the Big Truck bravado more greater than this?
I rode to Utretch from Frankfurt in February a couple years ago. It was not like this. I did ride from Hamburg to Groningen in the snow a few years back.

Keep working towards your goals. The Seattle waterfront had a double Decker highway with a stroad underneath. Now we have this:

The Cascade Bicycle Club goes from school to school to teach bicycle riding skills. They visit a lot of schools so I guess they are getting a head start. @cascadebicycleclub.bsky.social

Some spring like weather coming to Seattle in January. Rode into work today sans winter wear or rain jacket. (It's in my pannier). Looking at you Tuesday.

The Netherlanders are some of the healthiest in the world. Because of their bicycle culture that started in the early 70's the life expectancy has risen to over 82 YOA rising to 92 for children born this year. It's the Lifestyle.

Once again oil dependency has raised it's ugly head with an attack on a sovereign country for their resources. Even when the combination of renewable energy, electric modal transportation and yes bicycle use has caused an oil glut and afalling prices per barrel.

That is a problem we would like to address. Stemming from using 44th SW as a traffic light free alternative to California Ave to cut through Lander (during school arrival at Lafayette) and crossing to Walnut to get to the East side access to Admiral East bound. A partial closure of Lander?

But is there a more efficient way to end right turn on red and both right and left turns on active crosswalks. From a business perspective all walks tend to increase foot traffic as well. At least that has been evident in the Alaska Junction. Thanks for your response though.
