Really enjoying my time with Abiotic Factor. By far the best game I've played that includes a "poop faster" minigame.

Bloodlines 2 was never going to live up to expectations, but I'd be more willing to forgive its shortcomings if it felt like the developers had any kind of respect or affection for the source material.

I’m not going to lie, RENT hits differently now. Like, Benny is a dick, but he came into some money and wants to build lots of housing to fund usable artist spaces at street level? Why is he the villain?

I get gentrification is bad, but isn’t someone from the neighborhood revitalizing it good?

As I reflect on TANS ending, I’m proud it does, actually end. Each season stands alone and leads to its own conclusion.

The story could have gone on, but late-coming listeners can still experience a full narrative. Not the full story, but not a disappointment.

And I'm glad I gave them that.

My least favorite part of shuttering an AP company is the huge pile of quietly humiliating emails you have to write.

"I know I promised you this project/offered you this role/pitched you this sponsorship, but it turns out I won't be able to deliver."

Ugh.

If you missed this, then consider this our first big announcement!

Games like the Isles trilogy do so much excellent work for accessibility in the TTRPG space and we will be working on making a series that reflects this - we cannot wait to show these games off! 🩵💜
A few days ago we unlocked a #Kickstarter stretch goal to work with StoryWeave Productions on a fully accessible Actual Play of the Isles #ttrpgs in 2026.

Look out for another big announcement following the UNDERISLES campaign in a few weeks. And in the meantime follow @storyweave.bsky.social

The number of people who have arrived in my Discord DMs over this point leads to me believe I've only interacted with people who were very bad at improv school and did not learn the correct lessons.
6. The improv school urge to "win" a scene by being the most, the last, the funniest, the saddest is poison for actual play. You're not here to score points. You're here to build rhythm, tone, and trust. Sometimes, the best move is to pass the ball and let someone else slam dunk the scene.

Okay fine. I will bare my (may or may not be) controversial (but it still sincerely held) TTRPG ethos to y'all.
One like = one unhinged TTRPG opinion (that I actually and sincerely believe in)

Let's see how fast I can become unpopular this GenCon weekend!

It is not understood thoroughly enough or widely enough that "be the absolute best person in the world at your job" is a less reliable and slower way to make money than "have some money already" is.

I've taken some time as QCG winds down to think hard about the places we struggled, and what other aspirational indie studios might learn from it.

So here's a short thread: advice on running an actual play company from the Managing Director of Queen's Court Games.

The end of The All Night Society has been hard, but the outpouring of support from y'all has made it so much easier to bear. It's a bright reminder of why I made this show in the first place, and I'm both humbled and forever grateful.

It is my sad duty to report the end of The All Night Society.

We’re deeply proud of the stories we told, the world we built, and the community that found a home in the dark with us. To everyone who listened, supported us, and carried these characters in your hearts: thank you. Truly.
