“This Campaign Is About the Common Good.”

I’m not in this race to divide people. I’m in it to remind us that politics should be rooted in respect, care, and accountability - in loving our neighbors and working for the common good.
Public Service Starts with Showing Up.
If you or I missed 4 percent of our workdays, we’d have to answer for it.

Nick Langworthy has missed 62 out of 1,523 roll call votes in Congress - that’s 4.1%, twice the average for Congress. He refuses to hold in-person town halls. He avoids tough questions.

At the heart of my campaign is a simple idea, the Common Good. It's about shared purpose, shared dignity, shared opportunity. Every student in New York 23 deserves access to modern learning, reliable broadband training for the jobs of tomorrow.

As education evolves, our teachers must evolve too. Tech companies, unions, and NY State are investing millions to train K-12 teachers in AI tools and curriculum. It’s a strong start, but we must ensure that all teachers in NY-23 get access, not just those in urban or well-funded districts.

This Veterans Month, we honor those who stood up for us by standing up for them.

Our veterans believed in something larger than themselves: our Constitution, community, and looking out for one another. That same spirit should guide how we serve them now.

Reliable internet isn’t a luxury. It’s a basic educational need.
~
Across Upstate New York, too many families still can’t get online. In parts of Western and Northern NY, 1 in 5 households lack broadband. Among low-income families, it’s nearly 1 in 3.

It’s not enough for schools to teach facts - they need to teach skills.

Hudson Valley Community College just broke ground on a $64 million Applied Technology Center to train students in manufacturing, renewable energy, and automotive tech.

I believe every student and teacher in NY-23 deserves tools that truly empower them.

When used the right way, AI can help teachers personalize learning and help students master new skills faster, without disrupting the human connection that great teaching depends on.

Rebuilding the Common Good Economy

Getting ready for the day, thinking about what really defines success in WNY.

Because if Wall Street’s thriving but working families can’t keep up with rent, groceries, or gas, that’s not the Common Good.

Housing is the backbone of the workforce.

If people can’t afford to live where they work, our communities can’t grow. Affordable housing isn’t a luxury, it’s the foundation of a stable workforce.

How Corporate Monopolies Are Draining Rural New York

When just a few corporations control our markets, small towns pay the price. Family farms lose bargaining power. Local grocers shut their doors. Broadband bills climb while service lags behind.

Corporate Consolidation & Local Power

When corporations swallow local markets, small towns lose jobs, farmers lose fair prices, and consumers lose choices. It’s time to level the playing field.

Nick’s “Town Hall” Was a Farce

I listened to Nick Langworthy’s so-called “town hall" last night. No real questions. No accountability. Just talk radio theater.

Rep. Nick Langworthy is holding a tele town hall tonight, but only those on his private newsletter list were notified. Not the public. Not the people he was elected to serve.

Small businesses are the backbone of our communities.
You sponsor our kids’ teams, fuel our local economies, and keep our main streets alive.

But too often, Washington forgets that real jobs and real growth start right here, in hometown shops, family farms, and local service businesses.

The Rural Healthcare Gap

Across Western New York and the Southern Tier, hospitals are closing and clinics are short-staffed. When care leaves a community, people don’t stop getting sick, they just lose access.

New York premiums up 7–13% this year, and could spike 40% if federal ACA subsidies expire

When working families open their renewal letters this month, they’re seeing premiums jump 20 to 25%. That’s not sustainable. How is it fair that the harder you work, the less you can afford care?

Last week, we focused on how food policy shapes public health and our rural economy. From keeping our food local and supporting family farms to tackling grocery access and child hunger, the message was clear: nutrition is healthcare.

I spoke about what I love most about this country: Freedom of speech. Freedom of religion. Local government that answers to the people.
