What are your experiences with recent censorship upticks among news media in the United States? What methods have you seen used to combat this?

I am making a mobile app called Heartwarmers. It's purpose is to connect at risk people with their survival needs being met by businesses and other organizations in their community. I have a prototype up. What do you think? Gamechanger or tech garbage? best on mobile
