Massive protest on Heard and McDonald Islands against Trump's new tariffs.

Penguins threaten retaliation.

Parma is a very beautiful town with lots of things to see. Yet has a relaxed and relatively untouristy vibe.

Trump tariffs hit islands only inhabited by penguins plus another which contains only an American military base.

Tiny Saint Pierre and Miquelo with a population of 5000 gets hit with a 50% tariff.

Typical bully!

Trump is threatening to send Americans to El Salvadorean prisons for vandalising Teslas.

Soon anyone in America who engages in any form of protest could be sent to foreign gulags.

America is turning into a fascist dictatorship like Germany in the 1930s.

Trump floats sending Americans to foreign prisons. Civil rights groups say that would be illegal.
Trump suggested on Truth Social that people charged with attacking Tesla could serve time in “lovely” prisons in El Salvador.

Yesterday we cycled past woods, old churches, villages and duck ponds.
From Ingatestone through ancient woodland to the ancient side by side churches of Willingdale back through the beautiful old village of Blackmore where there is the old priory church of St Lawrence with its wooden tower.

This is an interesting video - worth watching in its entirety. Shows by numbers the appalling deaths in the Second War and also how remarkable was the Long Peace that followed it.

Trump now wants to shatter the Long Peace. For what?

Trump is a very dangerous man. His 2nd term is starting off far worse than his first term.

Chilling parallels with Germany in the 1930s, a democracy before the Nazis seized power. The USA has been a democracy for around 250 years - could Trump overthrow all this? It looks like he wants to.

It will be scary when Trump takes over on Monday but he won't be in power for ever.

Here is a counter so you can always see many days before he is finally gone.
