Wanted to give an update on this. We're at 70% so THANK YOU ALL FOR SHARING AND DONATING. Some of y'all blew me away. Mom's first round of chemo was last Wed and it went better than I expect. 2nd day was the worst for nausea but other than that and expected fatigue it went well.

So, I've been trying to keep it together, but on New Year's my mom was diagnosed with cancer. Her treatment starts this week. She tells me she has insurance but since the year rolled over she has to pay a max out of pocket. Anything would help, please share if you can.

Out of Pocket Medical Care for Mom
Goal of $8000

In the middle of Dec, mom was hospitalized for an intestinal infection. During that treatment doctors noticed a growth, so they tested to make sure. At New Year's Eve, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. She is starting her treatment this week and while she has health insurance, due to it being the beginning of the year, she has to pay a minimum out of pocket amount before it kicks in.

This target amount is for both the out of pocket expenses as well as other expenses.

As much as I myself need help, I really cannot stand seeing anyone suffering the agony of cancer the way I did. This suffering should be erased from history.

I'm actually so incredibly shocked at the difference between the kofi post here vs Twitter. I knew it was gonna be less but not by THAT much.

Anyways I'm really grateful to y'all here, we managed to get air purifiers and cleaning supplies for the house and meds/vitamins for any side effects

Thank you all for the support, mom's starting her first round of treatment today, we're getting cleaning supplies for house upkeep and air purifiers to make her recovery at home more comfortable. We got 31% of it in a few days so I'm extremely grateful to y'all. If you can please continue to share
