The next crisis won’t be robots killing us.

It’ll be AI telling us what we want to hear.

Every day.

Until we forget how to be with real people.

Seeing all of these ChatGPT images makes me more bullish on human creativity. Clearly the majority of the public is not creative and just trend hoppers.

I’ve been starting my day with my Kindle being the first device I pick up, and it's honestly done wonders for my mood.

I’m more likely to keep reading during downtime throughout the day than my phone.

It's like exercising first thing in the morning to accomplish something that day already.

I’m a big advocate of understanding the history of tech to continue to build the future. These lines sum it up nicely.

The biggest issue with the tech industry is that so much is positioned as productivity-boosting.

How about improving happiness and quality of life? Maybe I don’t want to be able to “grind harder.”

I just want fewer stressors in my life.

The immediate normalization is gross.

We all heard the bonkers speeches and debate answers.
Jake Tapper: "It's important to point out that the Trump/Vance campaign in 2024 was a very disciplined campaign ... [it] was within the realm of normalcy." (They lied about Haitian migrants eating pets.)

Amazing to see all these history buffs recognize a “Roman Salute” but whatever, this is what we signed up for.

Also reproductiverights.gov has already been taken down so there’s that too.

Anyone setting up mirrors of these type of sites?

Maybe a hot take: AI regulation of AI characters/chatbots is most needed.

The ability to be malicious has always been available online, and AI doesn’t change that.

However, the potential crisis of young people having primary interactions with an AI character can be detrimental for decades.

The panic, confusion, & fear-mongering with the drone sightings reinforce the idea that many people want to live in a movie.

The simplest answer is likely right, it’s private testing from a group of private drone companies that are all nearby.

People often underestimate the power of art in shaping their thinking, especially in tech.

Almost all of our biases and preconceptions about the future of tech come from movies or books. This really becomes obvious when talking to people about AI.

When Cadillac’s F1 team announces its driver lineup for 2026, it better play Outkast’s Two Dope Boyz (in a Cadillac); otherwise, it’s a massive fumble.

Let me provide some American-made whiskey recommendations for your day.

Let’s start with a cocktail—the Sazerac if an old-fashioned went to Mardi Gras.
