Sometimes when you're looking for something, anything, on TV, you may luck out like I just did and stumble on "Days of Thunder". It's such an exquisite example of movie badness that you can barely look away.

Holy shit. CNN just showed a clip of Putin being kow-towed by some quasi-fascist leader of some bullshit-STAN country. The scene was a ridiculously huge, tasteless, vulgar, gold-adorned ballroom. Get my drift?

Being the credits from the 1962 LITB episode where Wally and Eddie are valets at a wedding. A sign of the times is the dismissive mention of actor Kim Hamilton. She was the first and I think only character of color to appear in the series, and they couldn't even give her a name, like a real person.
