in 3rd grade i had two pet rats named soapy (because i thought his mottled gray fur looked like suds) and dishwasher (because he had a habit of finishing all the food in his dish)

recently i saw someone riding this sit-down electric unicycle thing, and i couldn't help laughing at the unintentionally smug-looking, receiving tribute from your vassals as is your due-type posture you apparently have to adopt in order to ride it

making a non-zero amount of cave-related phone calls today
(the upper bear gulch cave at pinnacles national park is only open a few weeks out of the year, and i haven't gone through it since i was like 13, so i really wanna do that this spring. i even found my headlamp!)

yesterday i saw sooo many wildflowers already!
i saw milkmaids, poppies, greater periwinkles, warrior's plume, mustard flowers (i think?), daffodils and a bunch of tiny little orange ones
no oxalis flowers yet, but i think that's more like a march thing maybe

making an executive decision to leave my hair braided for a bit longer, because if i braid my hair damp and then undo the braids, my floofy, voluminous hair is *not* going back into any sort of braid for a long time lol

on the freeway, i noticed a car behind me that had what i can only describe as ghostbusters energy
they seemed to want to go fast, so i changed lanes, also assuming that i'd gain clarity on the car's whole situation when they passed me
i did not, but thank you for keeping the bay area weird
