350 Pacific is a youth-led grassroots movement working with communities to fight climate change from the Pacific Islands.
Over three powerful days, Pacific Climate Warriors united across the region and diaspora to draw the line at 1.5°C.
Our message was clear: 1.5°C is not just a number, it’s a lifeline. To hold the line, we need world leaders to end fossil fuel expansion and commit to real climate leadership.

To stay below 1.5°C, we must end fossil fuel extraction and consumption, and demand real climate leadership, especially from high-emitting countries.

Fiji draws the line because beyond 1.5, our islands face catastrophe. For our people, our cultures, and our futures, we draw the line to survive.

Youth and local leaders in Kiribati gathered to plant mangrove seedlings along a vulnerable coastline, a living line against erosion and climate collapse. This act of care and cultural strength shows why we draw the line at 1.5°C: to protect our homes, our heritage, and our future.

“Climate storytelling is so important because it builds people power in a very intentional way & what happens is you can direct that power to very important global moments of action” - Fenton speaking after the screening of his short film, Vakaraitaka, at USP’s 5th Human Rights Film Festival.

We refuse to lose more to the climate crisis. Pacific peoples draw the line—not just at 1.5°C, but at the loss of culture, knowledge, and connection to land and sea.

We draw the line at 1.5°C. For survival. For justice. For our islands. The ICJ has affirmed the legal obligation of governments to limit global warming to below 1.5°C. 🎉 Shoutout to @PISFCC + allies making history. Sept 19–21: We mobilize. #DrawTheLine drawtheline.world

Yesterday, we put the Australian Government on notice. At the Parliament House in Canberra, we heard the songs of Pacific people, songs that represent all we stand to lose to the climate crisis and all we fight to protect.

We draw the line on broken pledges because our homes are sacred, our cultures run deep, and our people deserve more than delayed promises.

This fund isn’t generosity. Delayed payments can’t rebuild lives. Justice delayed is justice denied.

Wealthy nations pledged $789M to the Loss & Damage fund. Yet less than half has arrived. Now the fund favors private finance, sidelining justice.

This is a solidarity fund, NOT an investment scheme.

Frontline communities need action. Not delay.

Australia’s exported emissions are 3x its domestic impact — and global courts say that violates human rights.
Pacific communities have called it for years. It’s time to draw the line on fossil fuel expansion.

Tuvalu’s climate visa isn’t migration—it’s survival. 40% of the nation has applied to leave, forced by rising seas driven by fossil fuels. This is climate injustice. We demand real solutions, not lifeboats. Justice means the right to stay. Read More: www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

From Aotearoa to the islands, the frontline is personal. Lyla Saolo Tapusoa shares:
“Every dollar toward gas is a dollar against our survival.”
This fight isn’t abstract—it’s about protecting memories, families, futures. 🛑 Not in our name. Not at our expense.

While the canoe is taking on water, New Zealand’s throwing in more weight. Instead of showing up in solidarity, NZ has pulled out of the Beyond Oil and Gas Alliance and pledged $200 million to expand fossil gas drilling.
This isn’t leadership. It’s a step backwards.
